AZURE
AI as a service (AIaaS, who dreams up of these acronyms)
Instead of building their own AI systems from scratch, companies can leverage AIaaS providers to integrate AI capabilities into their products and services.
DATABRICKS
The Databricks blog on sharing AI and BI dashboards discusses how organizations can integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and business intelligence (BI) into interactive dashboards.
It highlights how Databricks enables seamless collaboration, sharing insights with stakeholders, and integrating real-time data to drive decision-making.
Key features include unified analytics, scalability, and customizable visualization, which helps businesses leverage AI and data more effectively in their operations.

SNOWFLAKE
A LinkedIn post about Snowflake Cortex from the Data Cloud Dispatch. I read what I post here, and I will definitely take a gander at this after i get this email ready.
GRAPH DATABASES
Not necessarily graph database news, but here is something from one of the larger graph database companies.
It covers key ethical considerations when using Generative AI, such as data privacy, bias mitigation, transparency, and the responsible deployment of AI technologies in data-driven applications like Neo4j.
VECTOR DATABASES
The article discusses how vector databases are transforming data storage and analytics in the AI era. Manjunatha Sughaturu Krishnappa emphasizes their role in efficiently handling unstructured data, enabling faster processing of AI tasks such as image recognition, natural language understanding, and recommendation systems.
By leveraging vector embeddings, these databases enhance the ability to analyze complex datasets, offering scalable and flexible solutions for AI-driven insights.
DEEP DIVE
When learning databases within the cloud paradigm, at first it is difficult. If you are coming from the on-prem world, it is a little jarring when you first enter into the realm of cloud databases. My first foray was back in 2019 and had to deal with Azure SQL. I did not like it.
I just figured it is just a stripped down version of “real“ SQL server. I really disliked the fact that you could not do cross database queries. What I am getting at is that you have things that aren’t in your control. You sometimes have to work with people that have a different personality than you, or you may not even like them. It happens. We are human.
I’m just saying that if you are here reading this, you want to improve your skills, enhance your career, learn something new, or even find a new job. You will have to, if you are serious, don’t be a snowflake or stop being a snowflake. I have to remind myself of this a lot. If someone in your workplace says something to you you may not like, just brush it off. That is of course you are not being explicitly disrespected. never stand for that.
You will encounter differences of opinion, different communication styles, etc. Just don take these things to heart. You will be better off making a study plan for a certification, researching a new technology using all these great AI tools (what do you think I do), studying, and planning your career.
This isn’t about technology at its core, but if you want to learn and implement new technologies that are coming at a torrential pace, remember to focus on what is important, and keep the noise and distractions at arms length. The more you learn, the more you will flourish. I am here to supply the mountain of information you need to learn all the cloud database information you need.
Enjoy your Friday, and have a great weekend.
