AWS
A plethora of news from AWS in their weekly roundup. Interesting news about AWS GenAI Lofts.

GCP
An interesting paper on using BigQuery for a near real-time alerting system.

AZURE
Microsoft and Palantir have formed a strategic partnership to enhance U.S. national security by combining Microsoft's Azure cloud computing with Palantir's data analytics platforms.

This collaboration aims to revolutionize how defense agencies handle data, using AI to improve logistics, decision-making, and overall efficiency. The partnership is seen as a significant development for national security, with both companies positioned to benefit from the growing importance of AI in government operations.

DATABRICKS
Check out this discussion on using Databricks as a transactional database. I don’t know why you would want to do that, but, whatever.

SNOWFLAKE
Snowflake has launched Cortex Analyst, a new AI-powered system designed to enhance data analytics. This system allows users to interact with their data through a conversational interface, simply by asking questions in plain English.

Cortex Analyst then converts these queries into SQL, runs them, and delivers highly accurate answers—boasting an accuracy rate of about 90%. This is a significant improvement over other text-to-SQL systems, such as Databricks' Genie.

NoSQL DATABASES
Read about a pending lawsuit against MongoDB. One of the more challenging databases to grasp, but that has nothing to do with the lawsuit.

No deep dive today…I gotta run and immerse myself with stuff about Snowflakes nemesis, if you catch my drift.
