DEEP DIVE
The Importance of Conferences
Luckily, I will be attending the Gartner Data and Analytics conference next month. Itās in Orlando and Iāll be staying with my tough as granite uncle, saving my company a couple of dollars in the process.
Conferences are a great way to break the monotony and stress of the daily job and learn something in the process. Not the most profound words ever written, but it sometimes helps to get out of your comfort zone. I like to attend sessions that have nothing to do with my day-to-day job, as I usually learn something in the process.
You get to network with folks, and see how others are solving problems. Most folks in this space are not the highly gregarious types, so a side benefit is honing your social skills. There is always an upside with attending conferences.
Not the deepest of dives today. I could have made your brain hurt by writing about Array Databases that I did not know existed up until last Thursday. We learn together.
