AWS

Amazon EFS (Elastic File System) has increased its Elastic Throughput read limit to 30 GiB/s, up from the previous 20 GiB/s, to better support high-demand AI, machine learning, financial analytics, and genomic data analysis workloads.

This upgrade is now available in several AWS regions, including US East, US West, EU West, and Asia Pacific. The service remains fully elastic, serverless, and requires no provisioning, continuing to offer a seamless experience for managing intensive file workloads in the cloud.

GCP

Google Cloud has enhanced BigQuery, its data warehouse platform, to better support AI-driven data tasks. This upgrade aims to improve the platform’s capabilities in handling complex AI and machine learning workloads, making it more efficient for organizations to process and analyze large datasets in the AI era.

The improvements are part of Google Cloud’s broader strategy to integrate advanced AI capabilities into its data services, catering to the growing demand for AI-driven insights.

AZURE

A very detailed and well written article about how Amazon MemoryDB is introducing a persistent semantic cache to optimize generative AI workloads, improving speed and reducing costs.

By caching frequently accessed semantic data, this solution minimizes the need to repeatedly query the underlying database, leading to faster response times and more efficient resource usage.

DATABRICKS
Atlan is expanding its vision for the data control plane by introducing new features aimed at enhancing collaboration, governance, and automation across the data lifecycle.

The company plans to integrate AI and machine learning to streamline data operations and improve data management efficiency. Atlan's approach focuses on creating a unified platform that allows data teams to work more effectively, ensuring that data is well-governed and easily accessible for analysis and decision-making.
